Hidden Algebraic Structures in Topology

The meeting will focus on algebraic structures that make a surprising appearance in various problems of quantum topology, especially the ones where such structures are not a priori expected. This includes unexpected appearance of logarithmic VOAs and non-semisimple MTCs in the study of 3-manifold and 4-manifold invariants. In a parallel line of developments, ideas from derived algebraic geometry are making their way into low dimensional topology, for example through the development of sheaf-theoretic models for SL(2,C) Floer homology. This should be related to skein modules for 3-manifolds, which in turn played a role in various extensions of Khovanov homology.
