Palomar Observatory: The Next Five Years
Mansi Kasliwal, Professor of Astronomy and Director of Palomar Observatory, Caltech,

I will present my vision for Palomar Observatory as it continues to be a long-standing partnership with JPL+IPAC. I will give updates on two new instruments on the Palomar 200in Hale telescope:  (i) the Next Generation Palomar Spectrograph (NGPS) is now delivering three times higher throughput than its predecessor workhorse (DBSP), (ii) Cerberus (next generation CHIMERA) development is in full swing and scheduled to deliver a three channel high speed imager at prime focus later this year. I will also discuss progress on SIGHT to consistently improve the point spread function for NGPS using adaptive optics. I will present the new partnership Target Of Oppotunity program and additional ideas on maximizing our agility and efficiency of observations. I will discuss plans for a P200 data archive that will be hosted at IRSA. I will also give a brief update on the status of the robotic telescopes at Palomar Observatory: ZTF, WINTER, PGIR, and PANOSETI.
