Former IQI/IQIM  postdocs currently in faculty or senior research staff positions
U = United States, E = Europe, C= Canadian, A = Asia, Au=Australia, M=Middle East

The Institute for Quantum Information (IQI) was founded in 2000 as an NSF-supported center focusing on theoretical research in quantum information science. In 2011, the IQI was folded into a larger center conducting both theoretical and experimental research, the Institute for Quantum Information and Matter (IQIM).

At this stage, 75 former IQI postdoctoral scholars have moved on to faculty positions or staff scientist positions at national or industrial laboratories: 38 in the US, 8 in Canada, 19 in Europe, 6 in Asia, 1 in Australia, and 3 in the Middle East.

Of the 38 in the US, 16 are at universities, 5 are at national labs (NIST, Sandia), and 17 work in industry (Amazon, BlueQubit, Google, IBM, Microsoft, PsiQuantum).
