Spin is In

At IBM they ought to know
What makes a fast computer go.
They seem to think electron spin
Is something worth investing in.

Today's computers, by and large,
Rely upon electron charge.
But we might speed them up a lot
With spins inside a quantum dot.

We'd like to put a qubit there
And tickle it with extra care.
Alas, it isn't very clear
How fast the spin will decohere.
