Ooguri has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in physics.

In 1999, he was voted as one of the best instructors by graduating seniors of UC Berkeley.

The map above shows locations of former graduate students (in the red pins) and postdoctoral fellows (in the blue pins) in string theory at Caltech who are faculty members in major universities or equivalent around the world.

In the academic year of 2010-2011, Ooguri gave a joint graduate school course of Caltech and the University of Tokyo on gAdvanced Mathematical Methods in Physics.h The lectures were given simultaneously in Pasadena and Tokyo via video conference. The lecture notes and videos of this course are available at the web site: lecture notes and videos. The videos are also broadcasted at iTune U.
