Fall term: Physics 235a will give an introduction to supersymmetry
with an emphasis on its possible phenomenological applications.
Instructor: Professor John Schwarz (jhs@theory.caltech.edu)
The textbook is "Supersymmetry and Supergravity" by J. Wess and J. Bagger,
2nd ed. (Princeton University Press 1992). Notes by Prof. Schwarz
will be distributed in class.

Winter and spring terms:  Physics 235bc will give a two-term introduction
to superstring theory following a new textbook that is being written
by John Schwarz together with Katrin and Melanie Becker.
